Help your dead stock get seen.
Your best sellers already get seen. Your dead stock often does not. Seenly gives products that shoppers rarely see a turn at the top of your Shopify collections.
Coming soon to the Shopify App Store
Dead stock often sits where shoppers rarely look.
- Dead stock is stock that sits and does not sell.
- In a large collection, many products sit far down the page, where shoppers rarely look.
- Shopify's own sort orders often keep the same products at the top. The Best selling order puts the products that do not sell at the end. So what already sells keeps getting seen.
- The products that shoppers rarely see are often the ones that do not sell. Nobody can say whether shoppers would buy them, because few shoppers saw them.
- Sorting by hand helps for a day. It takes time, and then the order gets out of date.
A turn at the top for rarely seen products.
- A new rotation starts every few days. You choose how many days on the sorting profile.
- Fair Discovery picks a few products. It picks products that were rarely in the top positions, where shoppers look first. It picks the products that were shown least.
- They move up until the next rotation. For those days, shoppers see them near the top.
- Then their own sales decide their place. If shoppers buy a product, it rises in Best selling and keeps a good place. If not, it goes back, and other products get their turn.
Only products that are for sale get a turn. Out of stock products are not lifted.
The app does not know which products are dead stock. It does not read your sales numbers or your stock counts. It picks products by how rarely they were in the top positions. These are often the ones that do not sell.
The Product rotation page shows which products the current rotation moved, and from which position.
Lanes you choose build each collection's order.
Choose the lanes: Best selling, Newest and Fair Discovery. The lanes take turns down the page. This sorting method is called Smart mix. Best selling and Newest keep the products that earn the top. Fair Discovery brings up the products that shoppers rarely see.
Three steps, then it sorts on its own.
- Choose your collections. The app sorts only the collections you choose. The others stay as they are.
- Set the default profile. Choose the lanes. A preview draws the order before you save it.
- Pick a schedule. Every 1 to 6 hours, or daily at an hour you choose, in your store's time zone.
You decide what stays at the top.
| Feature | What it does |
|---|---|
| Pin | Keep the products you pin at the top of a collection |
| Exclude | Keep a product out of the top positions |
| Out of stock | Move out of stock products to the end |
| Profiles | One default profile for every collection, or a profile of its own for one collection |
| Preview | See the order a profile builds before you save it |
| Pause and Sort now | Pause the schedule at any time, or sort one collection now |
It changes the order. Nothing else.
The app changes only the order of products in the collections you choose. It does not change your products, prices, stock, discounts or theme. It does not promise more sales. It puts rarely seen products in front of shoppers, and what shoppers buy decides which products stay near the top.
Sorts with product access only. No customer or order data.
The app asks Shopify for permission to read and write products, and nothing more. The Best selling lane uses Shopify's own best-selling order, so the app never reads your orders or your customers.
It checks the order in Shopify after every sort.
After each sort, the app reads the collection back from Shopify and checks the order. The screens show whether each collection sorted, and when.
Every screen in English and in Arabic.
The Arabic screens read from right to left.
Questions
Does the app know which products are dead stock?
No. It does not read your sales numbers or your stock counts. It picks products that were rarely in the top positions. These are often the ones that do not sell.
Will it sell my dead stock?
The app does not promise a result. It changes the order only. It gives rarely seen products a few days near the top, so shoppers see them. After that, each product's own sales decide its place.
Does it lift out of stock products?
No. Product rotation lifts only products that are for sale. You can also move out of stock products to the end of a collection.
Does it change my products, prices or theme?
No. It sets the collection's sort order to Manual, so it can place the products. Then it changes only their order.
Which data does it read?
Your products, your collections and your store's time zone. Never your customers or your orders.
What happens when I stop?
Choose Stop managing on a collection. The app stops sorting it. Its products keep the positions they have now, and the collection keeps the Manual sort order in Shopify.
When can I add it to my store?
The app is not open to every store yet. It is coming soon to the Shopify App Store. To ask about it, write to support@shelfbench.com.
